Proposal 3: Putra Highway

Introduction:

With automobile industry booming in China and India, China already becomes to top on the list as the world’s largest tyre producer. Over hundred millions used tyres are eliminated every year in rapid development of China automobile industry. Not only take up a lot of land, but also serious pollutions are caused. It becomes to people's nightmare. However, Nakai University research and Development, China has a new method to turn waste tyres into treasure. We introduce this advanced technology from china in Putra Highway.

Technical Description:

The waste tyre made of rubber used in Putra Highway is an important project. Using of scrap tyre rubber power in Putra Highway can save resources, easy to maintain and protect the people with advantages of joint health. Each of 6000 powder made from discarded tires can lay one km two ways road of highways. Therefore, over tons of waste tyres can be consumed in one highway project.

Rubber powder can make asphalt became very sticky. It is good to enhance the pavement integrity and toughness. This kind of pavement will have greatly deformation will burst the bottles, and after the common asphalt pavement cannot afford such a big deformation, this in cold winter is a very practical performance.

In addition, scrap tyre rubber powder construction techniques also make roads in reducing the noise effect, this principle is more interesting. Mixing rubber road has good elasticity and natural reduces the noise, and the main part, asphalt mixing powder is between particles formed after many small holes is down concave.

Project Implementation:

A 30 km Putra Highway offers road users a shorter and more direct route to the federal administrative capital Putrajaya. It shortens the trips mere 20 minutes Putrajaya and Cyberjaya and 30 minutes to KLIA and Sepang Circuit. The highway will be installed with several safety features and the advanced traffic monitoring systems such as emergency telephone, CCTV and electronic messaging which are routed to the highway’s Control Centre (CC).

The trip will be shortened mere 20 minutes Putrajaya and Cyberjaya and 30 minutes to KLIA and Sepang Circuit

Costing:

The construction cost of Putra Highway is about RM 1 billion. It cost savings of up to 40%, compared to other standard highways.

Duration:

Putra Highway can be completed in 2.5 years. However, the progress of project maybe would be affected by weather factor and other factors.

Sustainability Development:

Compared with the old asphalt, with the waste tire rubber modified asphalt paved with strong resistance to high temperature effects, even in the hot summer, the ground softening does not occur. In addition, its lower noise, extension of road life, reduces road maintenance costs, anti-glare, water fog and to improve traffic safety, it is also shown a significant advantage. It is a good technology used in other countries, not only in China. 154 countries are expected to use high-performance and environmental protection of modified asphalt, let more waste tyre coruscate "second spring". And high-tech, binhai tianjin eco-city Miocene circular economy demonstration area, such as more will be in the whole region all road use.

Our previous project, Cheras-Kajang Highway

Recommendation:

Actually our company are considering of merging the other proposal that we are doing with the main proposal. Examples like rubber that can use to build road, we are considering this method to build the road around the eco building that we are proposed. In this case, the whole costing will be reduce and economic for the development of building industry.

Conclusion:

As a conclusion, the eco concept is the main purpose of coming with this method since our earth is having all sort of problem like weather change dramatically and global warming too.
