Executive summary:

Our company main proposal is mainly about eco building that mutually benefits human being and environment. The building introduces a new concept of construction homes in future generation by using dimension stone and others. The raw materials that we are using would be drawn from the earth that can be reduced. Despite that, this method will much more cheaply and the most sustainable industrials materials if compare to the others materials. In other hand, the other two proposals are mainly about usage of waste aluminium and turning it into car body frame after through many processes. The car that formed from the waste aluminium is lighter compared to other cars. Aluminium car frame’s lightweight can increased the speed of car and afford better fuel efficiency. In addition, aluminium body car can have better handling and increased crash safety. The next coming few years production of car might be change to waste aluminium car frame. Another proposal is mainly about usage of waste materials like wasted rubber can be use to build road. By using the scrap tire rubber powder construction techniques make roads can reduce the noise of the car when moving on the road. It can make the long journey more comfortable. This is a unique way that maybe some people still do not know about this method but indeed the method is environmental friendly and still got a lot of improvement that can be done. Nowadays the society pollution problem that we are facing is a lot and the proposal that we are proposing are environmental friendly.

Proposal 1: 1Malaysia Eco Building

Summary:

1Malaysia Eco Building is a building with eco building concepts. 1Malaysia Eco Building is built majorly by recycling material such as dimension stones, concretes, metals, bricks, and pavers. The construction cost of 1Malaysia Eco Building is about RM 8 millions. It is worth that causes minimum damage to our healthy environment. 1Malaysia Eco Building estimated can be completed in 2 years. Construction of 1Malaysia Eco Building releases lower energy and produces lower pollutants than other standard constructions.

Introduction:

Our communities demand from us today a new humanity and architecture. Arabian cities of the 21st century are seeking comfort and sophistication of economy and culture in a sustainable manner representing a great challenge. In today’s competitive business environment building technology systems became an absolute necessity, therefore building managers should pay enough attention to advantages and specifications concerning new building materials in order to maintain building investments and reduce its costs. That needs powerful building technology systems to achieve people requirements, and preserve their culture and personality in neighbourhoods, towns, and cities. Technology today offers a big variety of materials and finishing which differ and change without any scientific approach to evaluate its quality, or measure its impact over the presumed age of the building.

Technical Description:

1Malaysia Eco Building is a building with eco building concepts. Eco building concepts introduces a revolutionary building product that will change the way builders construct homes in the future. Besides that, the raw materials that would be drawn from the earth can be saved. 1Malaysia Building can be built majorly by recycling material such as dimension stones, concretes, metals, bricks, and pavers.

Recycled pavers are used in street-walk

The left side picture is top view of 1Malaysia Eco Building. The idea comes from water. It means that Malaysia nations should hold together as properties of water, cohesion.

Project Implementation:

Dimension stone is 100% reusable and can be salvaged for new construction when other structures were demolished. It intensives lower energy and produces lower pollutants than other materials such as steel, concrete and glazed glass. It also is one of the most sustainable industrial materials. Over 160 millions of wastes stone and concrete are generated in construction industry. They can be recycled as paving material. Recycled pavers are beautiful and durable when used in street-walk. Besides that, there are a variety of colours available.

Recycled block is a high value use for waste glass. It is made from cement, aggregate, water, and glassfibres. Glassfibres can increase the tension strength of recycled block.

Sustainability development:

Innovative Building Technologies and Practices save Energy and Money. Investing in energy-efficient technologies and practices allows building owners, developers, and operators to realize cost savings in homes and buildings that are more comfortable, productive and marketable. These technologies and the whole building approach will produce buildings that use less energy and can be more cost-effective. Some of the guiding principles in developing the sustainable alternative building technologies can be: Energy conservation; Minimize the use of high energy materials; Concern for environment, environment-friendly technologies; Minimize transportation and maximize the use of local materials and resources; Decentralized production and maximum use of local skills; Utilization of industrial and mine wastes for the production of building materials; Recycling of building wastes, and Use of renewable energy sources. Building technologies manufactured by meeting these principles could become sustainable and facilitate sharing the resources especially energy resources more efficiently, causing minimum damage to the environment.

Costing:

The construction cost of 1Malaysia Eco Building is about RM 8 millions. It is more expensive than other standard building due to using recycled material in building. However, it is worth that causes minimum damage to our healthy environment.

Duration:

1Malaysia Eco Building can be completed in 2 years. However, the progress of project maybe would be affected by weather factor and other factors.

Building Strength and Weakness:

Construction of 1Malaysia Eco Building releases lower energy and produces lower pollutants than other standard constructions. Using recycled material in construction can reduces waste disposal volume and improves recycled content. The cost of construction also would be reduced due to lower purchasing cost of recycled material. In addition, it can haulage distances and trade directly with local sites. It also causes minimum damage to our environment.

However, primary weakness of project is higher upfront cost. While there are cost-savings over time due to energy savings and health benefits, there is a much larger up-front investment.

Proposal Project 2: Eco-188 Aluminium Car

Summary:

Aluminium is a silvery white member of the Boron group of chemical elements. The aluminium car, Eco-188 made from the waste aluminium is lighter compared to other car. Eco-188 consists of 60 percent sheet aluminium, 22 percent aluminium castings and 18 percent extruded aluminium sections. Besides that, LED (Light Emmitting Diode) light can be implemented in Eco-188. LED lights’ operational life is longer than other standard lamps. Aluminium car frame’s lightweight can increased the speed of car and afford better fuel efficiency.

Introduction:

Nowadays, steel remains the material of choice for constructing the weight-bearing frames of motor vehicles. However, the using of aluminium for car frame has been started since 1980s. Aluminium is a silvery white member of the Boron group of chemical elements. It is a durable, lightweight, and soft metal. Nowadays, many of the cut aluminium are thrown away which finally turned into waste material. From these waste aluminiums, we can reform it into car body frame after through many process which using high and low temperature to melt and combine these pieces back to normal. There are quiet many companies which have been using aluminiums to form car frame. Audi R8 is the first mass-produced car frame made entirely of aluminium hit the market.

The left side picture is our design of Eco-188 aluminium car frame

Technical Description:

The Eco-188 aluminium car frame is made of aluminium that formed from the combination of small pieces of the waste aluminium. Eco-188 consists of 60 percent sheet aluminium, 22 percent aluminium castings and 18 percent extruded aluminium sections. The car frame is having the same size with the normal car but its lighter compared to the normal car frame. The thickness of the metal is formed slightly smaller than the normal car.

Project Implementation:

This project has been done by many companies such as Audi and Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFÉ). It has been started around 1980s. The product is processed through a melting n cooling down the aluminium pieces. The car that formed from the waste aluminium is lighter compared to other cars.

Costing:

The cost of Eco-188 aluminium car is about RM 400,000. The cost would be reduced on mass production.

Pros and Cons:

Aluminium car frame’s lightweight can increased the speed of car and afford better fuel efficiency. In addition, aluminium body car can have better handling and increased crash safety. Aluminum is good in corrosion due to the thin layer of aluminium oxide is formed.

There are two main cons of this project. First, the cost of aluminium body car is five times that of steel. Second, aluminium frames need special construction and assembly methods to reach the necessary stability and torsion stiffness of the car.

Sustainability Development:

By using the waste aluminium, we can reduce the wasted material that simply thrown away. On the other hand, there will be lesser aluminium waste. Based on this, the next few years car might be change to waste aluminium car frame.

Besides that, LED (Light Emmitting Diode) light can be implemented in Eco-188. The key strength of LED lighting is reduced power consumption. An LED circuit will approach 80% efficiency, which means 80% of the electrical energy is converted to light energy. The remaining 20% is lost as heat energy. LED lights’ operational life is up to 100,000 hours. It is longer than other standard lamps.

Proposal 3: Putra Highway

Introduction:

With automobile industry booming in China and India, China already becomes to top on the list as the world’s largest tyre producer. Over hundred millions used tyres are eliminated every year in rapid development of China automobile industry. Not only take up a lot of land, but also serious pollutions are caused. It becomes to people's nightmare. However, Nakai University research and Development, China has a new method to turn waste tyres into treasure. We introduce this advanced technology from china in Putra Highway.

Technical Description:

The waste tyre made of rubber used in Putra Highway is an important project. Using of scrap tyre rubber power in Putra Highway can save resources, easy to maintain and protect the people with advantages of joint health. Each of 6000 powder made from discarded tires can lay one km two ways road of highways. Therefore, over tons of waste tyres can be consumed in one highway project.

Rubber powder can make asphalt became very sticky. It is good to enhance the pavement integrity and toughness. This kind of pavement will have greatly deformation will burst the bottles, and after the common asphalt pavement cannot afford such a big deformation, this in cold winter is a very practical performance.

In addition, scrap tyre rubber powder construction techniques also make roads in reducing the noise effect, this principle is more interesting. Mixing rubber road has good elasticity and natural reduces the noise, and the main part, asphalt mixing powder is between particles formed after many small holes is down concave.

Project Implementation:

A 30 km Putra Highway offers road users a shorter and more direct route to the federal administrative capital Putrajaya. It shortens the trips mere 20 minutes Putrajaya and Cyberjaya and 30 minutes to KLIA and Sepang Circuit. The highway will be installed with several safety features and the advanced traffic monitoring systems such as emergency telephone, CCTV and electronic messaging which are routed to the highway’s Control Centre (CC).

The trip will be shortened mere 20 minutes Putrajaya and Cyberjaya and 30 minutes to KLIA and Sepang Circuit

Costing:

The construction cost of Putra Highway is about RM 1 billion. It cost savings of up to 40%, compared to other standard highways.

Duration:

Putra Highway can be completed in 2.5 years. However, the progress of project maybe would be affected by weather factor and other factors.

Sustainability Development:

Compared with the old asphalt, with the waste tire rubber modified asphalt paved with strong resistance to high temperature effects, even in the hot summer, the ground softening does not occur. In addition, its lower noise, extension of road life, reduces road maintenance costs, anti-glare, water fog and to improve traffic safety, it is also shown a significant advantage. It is a good technology used in other countries, not only in China. 154 countries are expected to use high-performance and environmental protection of modified asphalt, let more waste tyre coruscate "second spring". And high-tech, binhai tianjin eco-city Miocene circular economy demonstration area, such as more will be in the whole region all road use.

Our previous project, Cheras-Kajang Highway

Recommendation:

Actually our company are considering of merging the other proposal that we are doing with the main proposal. Examples like rubber that can use to build road, we are considering this method to build the road around the eco building that we are proposed. In this case, the whole costing will be reduce and economic for the development of building industry.

Conclusion:

As a conclusion, the eco concept is the main purpose of coming with this method since our earth is having all sort of problem like weather change dramatically and global warming too.
